GCF Advisor, Deceased

"Pam Dashiell’s life and work truly represented all the core values and aspects of the Gulf Coast Fund. We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to be her friend and colleague. She lived “human rights and self-determination” – and she made things happen by any means necessary. She was a great organizer: committed, fearless, hardworking, dedicated, true to her word and full of truth..." read more...

Dr. Wilma Subra, GCF Advisor

Dr. Subra is a chemist, environmental activist, recipient of the MacArthur genius grant, and president of the Subra Company. Her insight and compassion has been invaluable to the Gulf Coast Fund for many years, and her presence with the Fund are especially important in the face of the potential human health dangers of the BP Oil Drilling Disaster. Dr. Subra was also recently recognized for her work in CNN's special, Toxic America. In her profile, Dr. Subra says, "communities need so much help, and you educate and empower them, and then they take on the fight and the issue. They just need that little bit of information to make them aware." Read Dr. Subra's full profile on CNN: "Environmental warrior takes on industry"
